Power Up Read Summer Reading Kick Off
“Heroes Alliance Ohio once more traveled to the city of Cincinnati to help kick off the 2013 Summer Reading Program for the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. Hawkeye, Spider-Girl and U.S. Agent spent the afternoon at the Symmes Township branch to welcome kids, build enthusiasm for the reading club, and to help kids make their own superhero masks.
The theme for this year’s Summer Reading Program is “Power Up, Read” and the library showcased a large number of superhero books, comics, graphic novels, and histories to tie a love of superheroes in with a love of reading. The team had a lot of fun meeting the excited young readers, helping them choose books involving their favorite heroes, and getting their summer reading program started off with a bang.
Thanks to the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County for inviting the team out. To find out more about the “Power Up, Read” program, visit http://www.cincinnatilibrary.org/summerread”
